Agriculture Show held in Skibbereen, Co. Cork, on Thursday 16th July 2026
First established in 1836, Carbery Show traditionally takes place on “the first Thursday after the third Wednesday” each July, which this year falls on the 16th July. The show is held in The Showgrounds in Skibbereen town.
The show offers a wide range of classes from horses, ponies, dairy and beef cattle and the main events at Carbery Show are the finals of the Cork County Yearling Championship and Cork County Beef Bull Championship.
The Carbery Show Society continues to encourage home produce through its large indoor exhibition, which includes the Horticulture Section, Flowers and Flower Arranging Classes, Photography, Arts and Crafts and Cookery.
The Carbery Show Society also continues to encourage the exhibitors of the future and includes many classes for children, such as ridden and led pony classes, a junior cattle section, junior horticulture classes, junior arts and crafts, and junior cookery classes.
There is always a wide range of family entertainment with our immensely popular Pet Dog Show, Irish Dancing Competitions and live music in the afternoon. Each year Carbery Show has a children’s amusements section including the family favourite Mobile Pet Farm.
Carbery Show has been noted for its marvellous trade stands display, some who come from far afield, who exhibit a variety of local crafts, foods, shrubs and plants, machinery and dairy equipment, farm and business services and local enterprise.

Trade Terms & Conditions
TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR TRADE STANDS
ALLOCATION OF SPACE – no space will be allocated until a completed online application with proof of insurance and payment of the appropriate fee has been received by Carbery Show Society. Costs as outlined on the booking page. Fee (non refundable) to be paid at the time of booking on or before the stipulated closing date.
INSURANCE - All trade stands must produce a current public liability insurance policy document showing a minimum limit of indemnity of €1,000,000 with cover extended to provide an indemnity to the Irish Shows Association Ltd., Carbery Show Society CLG and Carbery Show Society CLG Committee, their servants and stewards against any losses, claims, damages and injuries arising from the operation and use of the stand.
UNAUTHORISED SELLING - Fireworks, pellet guns, bangers, games, gaming machines, balloons, bubbles, stink bombs and spray paint are not to be sold on stands. Trade Stands found to be selling these products will be removed from the showgrounds.
LOSS OR DAMAGE – Carbery Show Society CLG, its agents and servants will not be responsible for any breakage, damage or loss from any source and Exhibitors should have insurance cover to extend to cover any loss or damage which may incur. This is the responsibility of the Exhibitor.
PASSES – Approved applications will be issued with 2 passes for their exhibit. Please note only authorised entry will be allowed. Traders/Staff with no passes must pay at entry to the showgrounds.
LITTER - Trade Stand owners/agents must clean up their areas before leaving the showground’s. Bins will be provided on the day in numerous areas around the showgrounds.
CANCELLATION OF BOOKING – Trade Stand applications must be received on or before 10th July. No bookings will be accepted after the that date. Fees will be non-refundable for cancellations after 10th July.
CANCELLATION OF SHOW – Carbery Show Society will not be responsible to any exhibitor or its agents for any loss of profits, consequential loss or any loss whatsoever arising for any reason of the cancellation of the Show.
STEWARDS - Please follow any instructions from the stewards on the day of the show.

Setting Up a Show Account on The ISA SuperShow Platform
There will be several shows this year using the Supershow platform, including us. The advantages are that you only have to enter your details once and it migrates your information to all the participating shows when you are making entries or applying for trade stands. 1 email and 1 password for over 40 shows.
